- Tiny Toons/Animaniacs
- Voltron
- Duck Tales
- Thundercats
That list could probably keep going on for a while…
My all-time favorite cartoon as a kid: David the Gnome
I loved the the gnomes were so kind. And I loved their miniature world that was close to nature and animals. I wanted to be a gnome. And then when I was older, I learned that gnomes are traditionally considered to be pretty nasty creatures. But I still cling to my David the Gnome ideals.
I also liked Rescue Rangers, Looney Tunes, Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Ren and Stimpy, animated Grimm’s Fairy Tales, and probably others I can’t think of now.
I was a total sucker for a lot of those Disney cartoons- Rescue Rangers, Talespin, Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, etc. I’m not sure why I loved them so much. I haven’t watched any of them in ages. The Animaniacs and Tiny Toons were both high on my favorites, too.
The only one of those that I still watch now is Batman. What a great show.
I also used to love The Tick and Exosquad. I think I’m the only person who ever watched Exosquad, though. It blew my mind. The first time I watched it, characters died. Like, totally dead. It was crazy.
Ooo, The Tick. Great show. It just recently came out on DVD. I should get that…
I don’t think I ever saw David the Gnome, but it sounds like a blast:)
We bought The Tick (animated) recently, and it’s not as funny as I remember it. Maybe just the first three episodes are duds? I don’t know. It seemed a lot wackier when I was 11.
But, I love the live-action version of The Tick. Patrick Warburton cracks me up in pretty much every show or movie he does.
