It didn't take long... In fact, the film Snakes on a Train actually came out three days before Snakes on a Plane. That's right, the knockoffs started before the film came out. Naturally it's straight to DVD, and by all accounts, it's a pretty bad film, but I have to admit that I'm intrigued by this tidbit from Wikipedia: The film features former WWF wrestler "The Iron Sheik", in a major role, although he appears under the pseudonym Ronald "Bubba" Sparks.Score. I don't know about you, but I'm still holding out for Ostriches on a Hovercraft. |

At least in the case of "Snakes on a Plane" they put it on a flight from Hawaii to Los Angeles so that once the snakes appeared there was no where for the plane to land. Snakes on a Train has a fundamental problem: once the slitherers are discovered, the train can stop and everyone can unload. Posted by: Steven Den Beste on September 8, 2006 9:58 PM
Indeed, though such logical objections won't stop a dedicated bad filmmaker. In fact, a true artist would find a way to make such a thing work. By mixing it with a ripoff of Speed or something (2 ripoffs for the price of 1!) There's probably a dozen creative ways to get around that problem, but somehow I doubt Snakes on a Train manages to even address the issue at all. Posted by: Mark on September 10, 2006 10:50 PM
