Some people might call it "blogging." That is, I'm planning to write more than one post a week for at least the coming week, though it seems that I've got a couple of weeks of topics queued up.

However, since I'll be writing more often, I probably won't write as much. Normally, today's entry would have been 3 times as long and it would ramble on to several other ideas, etc... Instead of doing that, I'm breaking it up into 3 smaller sections.

A few things have brought this on. First, I'm finding that I have less and less time on Sundays, which means that I post a lot of "Short on time this week" lists of links (like last week). Second, I find myself in need of more, for the lack of a better word, "mental exercise". Third, posting once a week does not a successful blog make (see what I mean about the mental exercise thing - me bad grammar). While I truly appreciate that you guys read the blog and comment, I'd like a larger audience (which also probably helps with the motivation factor).

In the past, this hasn't worked out because I get picky with what I post, but my output of late hasn't been tremendously impressive either, so I figured I should tone things down a bit. Hopefully, I'll stay motivated, but perhaps not.

Just for reference, here's what I'm planning:

This week: At least 2 posts (possibly 3) this week concerning design and usability.
Another theme: At least 3 posts on movies! Got them already lined up (pretty much), I just need to write them.
Another week: At least 2 posts on intelligence organizations and "open-source intelligence." Again, lined up, but I still need to write them
And finally: Christmas history posts! Wanted to do something about this for the 4k Ink Blot, but it looks like someone else wrote something on a similar subject. I know most of you don't like Christmas, but I find the history behind Christmas (particularly it's secular or at least non-Christian nature)

Not sure what order I'm going to do them in (besides the design and usability posts which will probably be this week).

Quick question: Which would you rather - a series of posts that build off of and reference one another other, or series of posts mixed in with each other. In other words, would it be better if I posted 4 entries this week concerning usability and design, or if I posted 1 each of usability, movies, intelligence, christmas. (or somewhere in between, like 2 usability and 1 movies, etc...)

Anywho, that's all for now. Let me see if I can find that bloodthirsty snowflake to put up...

I think I would prefer for the topics to be mixed up. I get bored easily.

I applaud you being able to post intelligent stuff even once a week. I don't do that. I don't post about much anymore. I've often started to write something, and then say "What's the point?"

I, too, would prefer the topics mixed up. Like when you reach into a bag of M&Ms and find an eye... that's the kind of surprise you'll be talking about for years. *blink*
