Just a few notes about the new forum:

    1. You'll need to register before you can post. If you would really like to post before I approve your membership, you can sign in with the username "guest" and the password "guest".

    2. For some reason, when you're filling out the application, you are required to click on the "terms of service" link or it won't let you complete the application. All you need to do is click it and then "back" and then you can submit the application. So annoying, I know. Hopefully that will be fixed soon.

    3. I need to approve your registration before you can post. If you would really like to post before I approve your membership, you can sign in with the username "guest" and the password "guest".

    4. There is way more functionality here than in the old forum. You can do all sorts of fancy stuff to the way posts are presented, etc... In fact, I don't even know the extent of it.

The old forum is still out there, if you're interested.

    Thanks,
    ~tallman

What's with this whole whispering business?

The setup kind of reminds me of Wikipedia. I like Wikipedia though. But yeah, you need your standard Kaedrin heading.

By the way, I prefer chocolate. =D

Whisper is if you want to post a message that only certain other people could see. For instance, I could have whispered this message to you, and you would have been the only member that could see it. I don't know how useful it is, and may turn it off at some point. I don't want you guys plotting against me, after all...

What browser are you using? I've used the forum in IE 6, Firefox 1.x, and Opera 8.x.... Does it always render that page incorrectly, or does refreshing help?

    And you prefer chocolate?

I'm using Firefox 1.0.6, or whatever the latest update of Firefox is. But, I haven't had that problem since.

Chocolate...versus Vanilla, the name of this web forum.

Mwahahaha, DyRE that was actually the 8th comment! You SUXORS and are prohibited from seeing Spence and I's wispered comments.

I think the wispering thing will get annoying and will probably remove it, but it may be useful at some point in the near future...

Well, your first problem CosyKat is that your name is too snuggly. tallman is always game for a snuggle, so watch out for him.

I'm always suspicious that new members I've never heard of are simply spammers, so you've got some time before the snuggling commences. No one wants to snuggle spam.

Snuggling spam is just setting yourself to be used as a shark lure. That's no reason to hold back. I need a new shark lure. Your sacrifice will not go unappreciated.

Your best bet at evading the "tallman snuggle" is to discourage him by brandishing a large dead fish...that always seems to work for me. In fact, it's good general advice in most aspects of life. No one will want to mess with you if you're waving around a huge trout that's several days past its prime.

I might have to stop at the grocery store on my way into work, check out the seafood section...
